- Account & Support Data (optional): Name, email, and messages you send us for support.
- App Configuration Data: Spot names, preferences, and settings stored on your device or in your account so the app functions as expected.
- Calendar Access (Android): With your permission, the app can create or read calendar events you trigger (e.g., for Routine/Marker/Health Spots). We only access the calendar data needed to perform the action you request.
- NFC Tag Interactions (Android): The app reads/writes NFC tags you present to your device to trigger Spot actions. We do not scan NFC in the background; interactions occur when you actively tap a tag.
- Device & Usage (limited): Basic diagnostics, app version, and error logs to maintain performance and fix issues. We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or SMS.
- Provide core functionality (e.g., creating calendar entries, reading/writing NFC tags you tap).
- Personalize your experience (remembering your preferences for Spots).
- Maintain app reliability and security (bug fixes, crash diagnostics).
- Respond to your inquiries and provide support.
- NFC: Used to detect/read/write compatible NFC tags you intentionally tap to your device to trigger Spot actions.
- Calendar: Used to create/read calendar events only when you choose a Spot type that requires it.
- You can change permissions anytime in your Android settings. If a permission is denied, related features may not work.
- On-device: Most Spot settings and NFC tag identifiers are stored locally on your device.
- Calendar: Events you create are stored in your calendar provider (e.g., Google Calendar) per your device/account settings.
- Support data: Retained as long as needed to provide support or comply with legal obligations.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We may share with service providers who help us operate the Services (e.g., analytics, error reporting) under confidentiality obligations.
- We may disclose if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
- Control permissions in Android settings (e.g., NFC, Calendar).
- Delete calendar entries directly in your calendar app.
- Contact us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
- EEA/UK: Your legal bases may include consent (for permissions), contract (to provide features you request), and legitimate interests (to secure and improve the app). You may have rights to access, delete, or port data, and to object or restrict certain processing.
- California: You may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt-out of certain sharing, and non-discrimination. We do not “sell” personal information as defined by CCPA.

We want you to love your Spotomates kit. If you’re not completely satisfied, you may request a refund within 30 days of delivery.
Eligibility
- Full Kit Return: To receive a refund, you must return the entire Spotomates kit (all NFC tags, packaging, and included materials) in its original condition.
- Items must be free of damage, excessive wear, or missing parts.
How to Request a Refund
- Contact Us First: Email spots@spotomates.com with your order number and reason for return within 30 days of delivery.
- Return Authorization: We’ll provide return instructions and an authorization number.
- Ship Back the Kit: Send the complete kit to the address we provide. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product was defective or damaged on arrival.
Processing Your Refund
Once we receive and inspect the returned kit, we’ll issue a full refund to your original payment method. Please allow 5–7 business days after receipt for processing.
Non-Refundable Items
- Digital downloads, gift cards, or any items not included in the original kit are non-refundable.
- We cannot process refunds for kits returned incomplete or damaged.
